SERVICES / NGINX IMPLEMENTATION AND CONFIGURATION

Give every request a clear route.

Configure the layer between your visitors and your application. JetHost helps with Nginx routing, reverse proxies, TLS termination, and configuration troubleshooting.

THE STARTING POINT

Understand the problem
before choosing the solution.

Redirect loops, incorrect upstream responses, or unexpected headers can make an otherwise healthy application difficult to use. A useful review follows the request across the configuration rather than changing isolated limits.

POSSIBLE SCOPE

What the work can include.

Reverse proxies and virtual hosts

Route requests to the right application, distinguish hostnames, and review how upstream addresses and timeouts are used.

TLS termination and redirects

Discuss certificate handling and HTTPS routing, and review redirect rules for the intended public URLs.

Load balancing and upstream behaviour

Examine upstream selection, failures, and connection behaviour within the features available in the deployed edition.

Headers, caching, and diagnostics

Review forwarded headers, relevant logs, and caching where appropriate to the application and its privacy requirements.

TYPICAL DELIVERABLES

Work you can review.
A handover you can use.

  • A configuration review tied to the reported behaviour.
  • A scoped set of routing, proxy, or related configuration changes.
  • Syntax checks and agreed request/response validation.
  • A record of the changes and operational handover notes.
WORKING APPROACH

Agreed scope. Deliberate steps.

We clarify expected routes and upstream behaviour, review the existing configuration, and propose a change plan. Validation can include syntax checks, representative requests, headers, and relevant log observations. Deployment and rollback steps depend on the environment; changing worker limits alone is not a performance strategy.

How an engagement works
BEFORE WE BEGIN

A few useful answers.

Can Nginx handle caching without Varnish?

Yes, Nginx includes HTTP proxy caching capabilities. Whether to use these, Varnish, or neither depends on the application and operational requirements.

Are all Nginx features available in every edition?

No. We scope work against the actual edition, modules, and version in use. Commercial features are not assumed.

What information helps you investigate a problem?

Describe the expected and actual behaviour, affected URLs, and when it occurs. Share sanitised configuration or logs through an agreed channel; do not put credentials in the enquiry form.
